Pot flowers safe wintering

After winter, the weather gradually became colder and the growth of potted plants and flowers also slowed down. The following issues need to be taken care of when making potted plants safe for wintering. In winter, the light hours are short and the temperature is low. All the potted plants should be placed in a sunny and windless location. Things that hinder the light should be removed. Before and after spring, flowering camellia, Western azaleas, rose, clivia, a flower, cyclamen, a string of red, etc., but also to accept the full sun in order to spend luxuriant, otherwise it will postpone or not flowering. It is not the winter and spring flowers such as jasmine and shizuka-no-mosa that will cause the plants to grow thin. The cold will make the cold potted flowers freeze to death. The plants that are more afraid of cold include prunus vulgare, prunus mume, hibiscus, Fugui bamboo, San Weikui, Lulu, Hong Bei Gui, and so on. When the temperature drops to 5°C, it will suffer freezing injury, dead leaves, or falling leaves. The protection measures are: early morning and late admission, on the balcony at noon; the potted plants should not be put in the room; they should be put on the plants directly with plastic bags; when the temperature rises, the bags will be removed; the branches and leaves will be trimmed, the soil will be soiled and the stems will be wrapped. For newly transplanted potted and old tree stumps, important stems can be wrapped with cloth or straw, and then removed when the spring temperatures are high. In general, watering should be properly reduced and rather dry. Watering time is best at noon. It is also available at 9 am or noon. In the event of low temperatures, it is also possible to water in the evening. Camellia, peach to buds, will be weak buds, rebreed buds removed, can make it flowers, plant after flower failure. Usually a pot of camellia retains five or six buds is enough. The branches of pomegranate, crape myrtle, and jasmine should be re-cut and only bloom in the coming year. Pruning is carried out in the late autumn and early winter, so that the plants can reduce the consumption of nutrients in the winter, rejuvenate and accumulate, and promote potted plants. Baojin, Fujian tea, etc. can be properly cut off the old branches and leaves, so that early sprouting new leaves, shorten the dormancy period, and can be vibrant during the Spring Festival, placed in the room to watch.
