Winter goose fattening technology
Winter geese refer to goslings hatched during the winter and winter solstice. Goslings grow to 40 days of age to enter the middle of the goose stage, then short-term fattening 15 to 30 days, weight 1.5 to 3.5 kg, the Spring Festival can be listed, can greatly increase economic efficiency. Goslings entering the period of the Chinese goose are long muscles and long bones. At this time, they are commonly called "half-winged geese" and can be fattened. There are two kinds of fattening methods: 1. Captive fattening method. Weave small bamboo or reed stalks into small enclosures. Each column contains 3 to 5 geese. The size of the enclosure is not more than twice the size of the goose body. It is advisable to allow the geese to stand without raising their heads. Or build a scaffolding of 50-60 cm high with bamboo and reeds to remove excrement. The trough and drinking fountain are hung outside the fence, and the fence is left to allow the geese to feed on drinking water. According to the size of the goose, they were housed separately. In captivity, the goose house is required to be quiet, sheltered from heat, and not grazing, limiting activities to reduce consumption. In feeding, the feed should be diversified, with fine green, can be fed to rice bran, broken rice, corn, cereal, leaves and other food waste, plus 6% of the cake, 0.3% of salt. The fine material is ground into a wet material and fed 5 to 7 times a day and 1 to 2 times at night. Feed plenty of water and water and let them eat. In addition, for each 100 kilograms of fine material, 19 g of manganese sulfate, 17 g of zinc sulfate, 12 g of ferrous sulfate, 2 g of copper sulfate, 0.1 g of potassium iodide, and 0.1 g of cobalt chloride can be added to promote weight gain. The compounds of the above trace elements must be mixed evenly to prevent the individual geese from eating too much and being poisoned to die. 2. Artificial forced fattening method. Corn, broken rice, rice bran and other powders and trace elements can be mixed with water and mixed into walnut-sized strips, and artificially filled into the esophagus of the goose. When feeding, the left hand will catch the goose head, open the goose mouth, clamp the goose body on both knees, hold the feed bar in the right hand and peck the water, and use the index finger to stuff the feed into the esophagus of the goose. Each one is filled gently with the gooseneck by hand to help swallow it, feeding 4 to 6 times a day and feeding it once in the evening. Feeding quantity depends on the weight of goose and digestive power. One hour before filling, there is a furrow in the esophageal swollen area, which is normal for digestion. It takes 1 hour before filling to increase the feed; after 1 hour, it needs to be reduced. Feed or postpone filling time. Be careful not to fill in the trachea to ensure the supply of clean drinking water.
