Flammulina velutipes cultivation management

The water content in the enoki mushroom material is directly proportional to the output and quality. Therefore, changing the conventional management methods during the fruiting period and strengthening water and fertilizer management in a timely manner can achieve ideal results. The cultivation and management of Flammulina velutipes and oyster mushrooms are different. Because it is not suitable to spray water directly into the fruit body and material during the fruiting period, there is a serious shortage of water in the culture material after the mushroom is harvested, and it will be difficult for many mushroom farmers to grow again. Give up management, resulting in low output. Therefore, hydrotherapy is an important measure.

1. Water retention. After the mycelium reaches the bottom of the bag, immediately open the bag to scratch the bacteria, rake off the old mycelium, cover with wet newspaper or mulch to moisturize and promote buds. If the newspaper is covered, spray water a few times, 3-4 times a day to keep the newspaper moist; if it is covered by a plastic film, spray water on the ground and space to keep the air humidity around 90%. During this period, the window was opened for ventilation once a day, and the room temperature was controlled at 10-14℃. After 5-7 days, mushroom buds would occur in large numbers.

2. Spray water. When the fruit body of Flammulina velutipes grows to 3-4 cm and enters the elongation period, spray water 4-5 times a day. The amount of spraying water increases with the growth of the mushrooms. Keep the air humidity around 90% (that is, it is advisable to have fine water droplets attached to the wall of the fruit body base) to promote the rapid growth of the fruit body. At the same time, proper ventilation and alternating dry and wet are used to inhibit the increase of mushroom cover and promote the elongation of mushroom stalk. The amount of water sprayed at this stage should be determined according to the weather. Spray more on sunny days and less spray on rainy days to prevent root rot, brown spot, and excessive moisture in the mushroom body from degrading quality due to excessive water. Do not spray water on the mushroom cover. If the newspaper is damaged, replace it in time. If there is any accumulated water on the newspaper, immediately discard it to prevent the mushroom body from contacting the water droplets and causing black spots, which affects the appearance of the product.

3. Replenish water. After the mushroom bag is harvested, the water content of the first tide mushroom decreases by 20%-30%, and the second tide mushroom decreases by 30%-50% after harvest. Therefore, after the first and second tide mushrooms are harvested, water should be poured into the bacteria bag immediately to make up for moisture. Flammulina velutipes grown in the shed can generally be hydrated after harvesting a crop. The method is to inject nutrient water directly into the bag, and the amount of water to be injected is based on the amount of mushrooms picked, that is, add as much water as the mushrooms are finished, and do not allow water to accumulate in the bag. The formula of nutrient water can refer to the ratio of oyster mushroom nutrient solution.
