Solo garlic, also known as single clove garlic, monobulb garlic, single bulb garlic, or pearl garlic,is a variety of Allium ampeloprasum. The size of the single clove differs from approximately 25 to 50 mm in diameter. It has the flavour of the garlic clove but is somewhat milder and slightly perfumed. It originates in Yunnan province in Southern China. The appearance is somewhat akin to that of a pickling onion, with white skin and often purple stripes. Solo garlic offers the advantage, compared to traditional garlic, of being very quick and easy to peel.The harvest time is February to March every year. It has a strong fragrant taste compared with multi(whole) clove regular garlic. It also has a high nutrition content. Its price is higher than regular multi-clove garlic but those people who buy it simply love it.

On March 16th, Chinese researchers observed the distribution, phenotype and evolution of pericytes in infantile hemangiomas. The investigators selected 52 infantile hemangioma specimens and used α-SMA as a marker antigen to observe the distribution of pericytes in hemangiomas. The apoptosis of pericytes was observed by transmission electron microscopy and TUNEL staining. The results showed that there were a large number of pericytes in the hemangioma cell mass in the early and middle stages of proliferation. The pericytes and endothelial cells cooperated for microangiogenesis. In the late stage of proliferative, the pericardial cells were apoptotic; in the early stage of remission, there were a few pericytes around the microvessels; Gradually occluded, vascular tumor pericytes also gradually disappeared. Therefore, the researchers concluded that pericytes are one of the major constituent cells of hemangiomas. The pericardial cells and endothelial cells cooperate with microangiogenesis and development to lead the pathological evolution of infantile hemangiomas.
