Early application of carbon ammonium is good

Ammonium bicarbonate and urea are both fast-acting chemical nitrogen fertilizers. Many people think that ammonium bicarbonate is more volatile and less effective than urea. In fact, this view is biased.

Ammonium bicarbonate easily decomposes and evaporates at higher temperatures, but is stable below 20°C. Early application of early rice, the temperature is low, ammonia volatilizes very little, and the ammonium nitrogen is easy to be absorbed and utilized by the crop roots, can significantly improve the nitrogen utilization rate, and favor early-season rice. However, urea is an organic ammonium nitrate fertilizer which, after being applied to the soil, is transformed into ammonium nitrogen under the action of urease secreted by the microorganisms before it can be absorbed by the crop. Low temperature in early spring, low urease secretion, low activity, resulting in slow fertilizer effect after urea application, premature early rice unfavorable. Therefore, early application of ammonium bicarbonate is advocated.
