According to the fixed-point monitoring of livestock and poultry products and feed prices in 470 bazaars across the country, the price of major livestock products increased slightly in the fourth week of October (acquisition date was October 27), and the price of corn remained stable.

Live pig prices. The average national live pig price was 12.94 yuan/kg, up by 1.0% from last week. The price of live pigs increased by 27 in the provinces, 2 by provinces, and 1 by provinces. The average price of live pigs in South China was higher at 13.70 yuan/kg, while that in the northwest was lower at 12.55 yuan/kg. The average price of piglets nationwide was 18.23 yuan/kg, a slight increase of 0.2% from last week. The average price of pork in China was 20.55 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from last week. The price of pork increased 21 provinces, down 7 provinces and 2 provinces. The average price of pork in southern China was higher, at 21.34 yuan/kg; in North China, the average price was 19.46 yuan/kg. Compared with the same period of last year (abbreviated for the same time, the same below), the prices of piglets, live pigs and pork increased by 2.5%, 14.1% and 11.0% respectively.

Egg price. The average price of eggs nationwide was 9.04 yuan/kg, up by 0.3% from last week and up by 14.6% year-on-year. The average price of eggs in 10 major producing provinces, such as Hebei and Liaoning, was 7.91 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from the previous week and up 19.3% year-on-year. The average price of live chickens nationwide was 15.23 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from the previous week and up 11.2% year-on-year. The average price of suit chicken was RMB 15.42/kg, up 0.2% from the previous week and up by 11.4% year-on-year. The average price of commercial egg-laying chickens was 2.70 yuan per bird, which was the same as that of last week. The average price of commodity chickens was 2.52 yuan per animal, up by 0.8 percent from last week and up by 10.7 percent and 18.3 percent respectively.

Beef and mutton prices. The national average price of beef was 34.24 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from last week and up 3.3% year-on-year. The average price of beef in key producing provinces such as Hebei, Liaoning, Jilin, Shandong and Henan increased by 0.1% to 31.86 yuan/kg, while that of Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, and Jiangsu provinces averaged 40.50 yuan/kg, up 0.3%. The average price of lamb in the country was 35.70 yuan/kg, up 0.4%, and up 9.1% year-on-year. The average price of mutton in major producing provinces such as Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Henan and Xinjiang increased by 0.4% to 34.88 yuan/kg, and that of Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi and Guangdong reached 39.61 yuan/kg, up 0.5%.

Fresh milk price. The average price of raw milk in the 10 major dairy provinces (regions) including Inner Mongolia and Hebei was 3.04 yuan/kg, up 0.7% from the previous week and up 23.6% year-on-year.

Feed price. The average price of corn in the country was 2.07 yuan/kg, which was the same as last week and was up 15.0% year-on-year. The average price of corn in the three northeastern provinces and the main sales areas of the main producing areas was 1.78 yuan/kg and 2.30 yuan/kg respectively. The average price of soybean meal nationwide was 3.71 yuan/kg, up 1.1% from last week and down 1.9% year-on-year. The average price of formula feed for finishing pigs was 2.77 yuan/kg, which was the same as last week and rose 5.7% year-on-year.
