Laiwu City Agricultural Bureau said that the price of ginger in 2010 was significantly higher than in previous years, making Jiangnong reluctant to sell it and wait for it. Last year, more than half of the ginger was still in the pit. This makes fresh ginger unable to be completely stored this year and can only be sold. Farmers who just changed their ginger in other areas did not have Jiang Jing to deposit, and they can only be transported to the main producing areas for sale. With too much supply, the price of ginger naturally plummets.

Qin Qingwu, director of the Institute of Agricultural Economics of the Shandong Academy of Social Sciences, pointed out that blindly following the farmers to plant crops is related to the current one-on-one decentralized planting model. Individual farmers cannot grasp accurate agricultural market information to guide planting. The government should provide authoritative agricultural information in a timely manner to help farmers and avoid blindly following the trend.
