The compactor is a special disassembly tool for cleaning the drum of the centrifuge. At present, the commonly used compactor (see Fig. 1) counteracts the top cover of the drum by the upward pulling force generated by the screw on the flared nozzle, thereby pressing the disc assembly to make the drum nut easy to assemble and disassemble. However, in the practical application, such a compactor is easy to deform the elliptical nozzle and has an elliptical shape, and even causes the flared tab to break and cause scrapping.
In response to the existing problems, we have greatly improved the structure of the compactor, and made a tool that is more suitable for drum assembly and disassembly (see Figure 2). It consists of a small 2 ton hydraulic jack, an automatic reset mechanism and a rotatable beam bracket. The compactor can be used on the drum cleaning frame, and the hydraulic pressure generated by the jack fixed on the beam directly acts on the drum top cover, so that the top cover and the drum shell fit closely.
During operation, just shake the handle of the jack 3~4, the resulting hydraulic pressure will make the top cover down, and then use the half ring wrench (see Figure 3) to easily disassemble the drum. After the operation is completed, the jack oil discharge valve is released, and the elastic reset mechanism automatically resets the jack. At this time, rotating the beam bracket can disengage the compactor from the drum.
The advantage of this new type of drum compactor is that the force acting on the nozzle of the horn is relatively uniform, thereby protecting the horn tube. Secondly, in the assembly of the drum with many discs and large deformation, even if the upper end surface of the top cover exceeds the position of the bellows mount, it can be normally pressed, so that the drum can maintain a good balance state and improve the separation efficiency. Third, the operation is light, fast and safe.
